49 year old man with constipation and a large pelvic mass on MRI most compatible with sacral chordoma. The fluororadiograph (upper right image) shows focal bony erosion of the right sacral wing (black arrowheads).

Prior to surgical resection, limited spinal and pelvic arteriography and pre-operative embolization were performed to reduce operative blood loss at the time of surgical resection. Microcatheter arteriography (lower left image) demonstrates iliolumbar supply to the tumor which was occluded using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) particles. Final arteriography (lower right image) shows no further contrast staining of the tumor indicating a significant reduction in its blood supply.
